Expressive Arts

Rekindle your energy through mythology and expressive arts!

Discover the power of stories to warm your soul, enlighten your awareness and inspire your imagination. Our expressive arts program works in blocks of 6 weeks, wherein each block will focus on a different theme. Please see below an example of one of our themes:

Block 1: Firetales

As we enter the long months of winter, just like in the days of old, participants are invited to gather around tellings of myths with the central theme of fire. In each session, we will use expressive arts (including drawing, painting, sculpting, creative writing, etc.) to explore the potential insights and meanings that these ancient tales may hold.

The are many benefits for students who participate in this program, and below we list some of the potential outcomes:

• Improved access to your creativity, which in turn is a source of revitalising energy
• A way to reframe problems to find novel solutions
• Awareness and appreciation of other peoples’ history and culture
• Greater understanding of the value of play and expression
• The delight of gathering, hearing and sharing stories
