Program & Levels

Native English School’s program is built around the CEFR European Standard curriculum which corresponds with the Cambridge English tests and levels Pre-A1 – C2 (for example Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET and beyond).

We currently have several programs/levels to choose from:

Starting Your Language Journey:

Level 1 - Genki English Pre-school - 30 min lesson - (focused on speaking and listening) 3 - 5 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK for 30 MINS/ 12 MONTHS

Overview:

  • greet and introduce him-/herself
  • identify basic colours and shapes, count to 12
  • recognise letters of the English alphabet – a- z
  • reproduce basic words and short phrases through various songs, games and activities across a broad spectrum of topics.
  • understand and follow simple requests, classroom instructions
Level 2 - Jolly Phonics / Genki Phonics Intensive Course - 30 mins to 1 hour lesson for Early Years (focused on learning to read and write) 4 - 7 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK for 30 MINS – 6 MONTHS / 2 TIMES PER WEEK for 1 HR – 3 MONTHS

Overview:

  • greet and introduce him-/herself
  • recognise letters of the English alphabet – a- z
  • learn the phonetic alphabet and reproduce sounds
  • letter blends
  • recognise, read and write commonly used 3, 4 and 5 letter words
  • understand and follow simple requests, classroom instructions
Level 3 - Genki English - Pre A1 - Pre A2 level - (focused heavily on speaking and listening with some reading and writing skills) 6 - 9 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK FOR 1 HR/ 15-18 MONTHS

Overview:

  • greet and introduce him-/herself, answer basic questions about things around him/her
  • identify basic colours and shapes, count to 100
  • tell the time
  • understand and reproduce commonly used words and simple sentences/phrases about the things around them – through various songs, games and activities genki teaches quickly whole chunks of commonly spoken phrases across a broad spectrum of everyday topics.
  • recognise letters of the English alphabet – a- z
  • learn the phonetic alphabet and reproduce sounds
  • letter blends
  • recognise, read and write commonly used 3, 4 and 5 letter words
  • understand and reproduce most commonly used words
  • take part in simple conversations using polite forms, able to ask questions and understand responses, understand and follow simple to more complex requests, classroom instructions
  • understand and build sentences and conversations using various everyday grammar structures for example – express needs and desires, likes and dislikes, talk about themselves, find out about others and many more!

Exam Preparation:

Level 4 - Cambridge Starters (Pre-A1) 7- 9 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK FOR 1 HR/ 9 MONTHS

Overview:

  • take part in a basic conversation on a familiar topic e.g. speaks about food asking and answering questions with ‘how much’ and ‘how many’, speaks about him-/herself
  •  expand on previously learned topics (classroom, food, family)
  • describe routine actions using the Present Simple Tense and actions at the moment using the Present Continuous Tense
  • speak about a past experience using was/were
  • speak about animals and his/her preferences, and compare them
  • describe appearances, what people look like
  • tell the time
  • speak about directions
  • read 4, 5, 6 letter words and sentences made up from them
  • read the key vocabulary of the studied topics
Level 5 - Cambridge Intensive Exam Preparation - Get Ready for Starters (Pre A1) 7- 9 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK FOR 1 HR/ 3 MONTHS

Overview:

10 units of revision and practice tests.
Having studied levels 4 and 5 a student is ready to take the Cambridge Movers Exam.

Level 6 - Cambridge Movers (A1) 9 - 12 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK FOR 1 HR/ 9 MONTHS

Overview:

  • ask questions about school activities and daily routines e.g. classroom tasks, homework, holidays
  • agree and disagree using ‘I think so’, ‘You are right’
  • understand and follow instructions given by the teacher in the classroom, such as ‘You must do this’, ‘Take off your coats’ ‘You should do it.’
  • understand when somebody talks about their family and friends, clothes daily activities, plans for the weekend in simple sentences and support the conversation
  • use the Present Simple Tense for regular actions and the Present Continuous Tense for temporary actions, actions at the moment of speaking
  • speak about the future using the Future Simple Tense
  • speak about events in the past
  • compare different things using comparative and superlative degrees
  • use complex sentences with relative clause in his/her speech
  • speak about their favourite activities, purposes, obligations and rules
  • read the key vocabulary of the studied topics
  • read simple texts on familiar topics and answer true false/comprehension questions about clothes, daily activities, and plans for the weekend
  • understand simple stories and shorter texts with the help of some pictures
  • add words that are missing in a short and simple text
Level 7 - Cambridge Intensive Exam Preparation - Get Ready for Movers (A1) 9 - 12 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK FOR 1 HR/ 3 MONTHS

Overview:

10 units of revision and practice tests.
Having studied levels 7 and 8 a student is ready to take the Cambridge Flyers Exam.

Level 8 - Cambridge Flyers (A2) 12 - 15 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK FOR 1 HR/ 9 MONTHS

Overview:

  • communicate in familiar situations and on familiar topics
  • use the Present Continuous Tense describing personal plans, e.g. to speak about plans for holiday celebration
  • use ‘going to’ construction to speak about future plans
  • use the Present Perfect Tense to speak about what he/she has done
  • talk about a problem in simple terms
  • tell he/she doesn’t understand something, cannot do something, ask for help using expressions like ‘Could you say that again, please?’
  • use basic conditional structures to talk about real and possible situations in the present or future.
  • give advice using ‘should’
  • make and respond to invitations, suggestions, apologies, requests such as arranging with friends to do smth/play together
  • understand longer texts on familiar topics
  • make up a story in English using ideas, pictures or words the teacher gives
  • read the key vocabulary of the studied topics
  • read simple texts on familiar topics and answer true false/comprehension questions
  • understand longer stories and longer texts with the help of the pictures
  • add words and expressions that are missing in the text
Level 9 - Cambridge Intensive Exam Preparation Flyers (A2) 12 - 15 years

2 TIMES PER WEEK FOR 1 HR/ 3 MONTHS

Overview:

10 units of revision and practice tests.
Having studied levels 9 and 10 a student is ready to take Cambridge Flyers Exam.

Level 10 - Cambridge KET Exam Preparation 12 - 18 years

Overview:

Complete coursebook to be ready to take the Cambridge KET exam.

Level 11 - Cambridge PET Exam Preparation 12 - 18 years

Ted Talks Overview:

A complete course utilising inspirational Ted Talk videos with the aim of improving comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, speaking, discussion and debate skills. A truly unique program to enable students to really find their voice in English.
